Five Days. Six Venues. One Loop.
YachtWay Owned the Streets of FLIBS 2026.
The world's largest in-water boat show took over Fort Lauderdale from October 28 to November 1, 2026 — and while 1,300+ yachts floated at the docks, YachtWay.com rode past all of them. This is the full campaign report.
Impression figures are campaign estimates based on corridor traffic counts, published FLIBS attendance, and route hours. Methodology in Section 04.
01The Brief: YachtWay Comes to the Yachting Capital
When YachtWay.com — the digital marketplace where buyers browse, compare, and connect on yachts for sale worldwide — asked how to reach every serious buyer, broker, and builder in one city during one week, the answer wrote itself. There is exactly one week a year when the entire global yachting industry stands on the same few miles of Fort Lauderdale pavement.
That week is the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. And the pavement between its venues is where our LED billboard trucks live.
The assignment: put YachtWay's brand in front of FLIBS foot traffic and vehicle traffic outside the gates — at the crosswalks, shuttle stops, parking garages, water-taxi queues, and bumper-to-bumper beach roads where attendees spend hours each day — for all five days of the show, roughly ten hours per day.
02The Event: FLIBS 2026 Dates, Venues & Location
The 67th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show ran Wednesday, October 28 through Sunday, November 1, 2026, anchored at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Billed as the largest in-water boat show on earth, FLIBS 2026 brought together over 1,300 boats and roughly 1,000 exhibitors across connected waterfront venues, with anticipated attendance topping 100,000 visitors.
Show Schedule We Ran Against
| Day | Date | Show Hours | Truck Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday (Preview) | Oct 28 | 12 PM – 7 PM | On route |
| Thursday | Oct 29 | 10 AM – 7 PM | On route |
| Friday | Oct 30 | 10 AM – 7 PM | On route |
| Saturday | Oct 31 | 10 AM – 7 PM | On route |
| Sunday | Nov 1 | 10 AM – 5 PM | On route |
The show isn't one venue — it's a constellation. Attendees move between marinas by shuttle, golf cart, water taxi, and on foot. That movement is the whole opportunity: a crowd of high-net-worth buyers in constant transit along a predictable set of roads, five days straight.
03The Route: A 50-Hour Loop Around Every Show Gate
We built one continuous loop that threads every FLIBS venue and the roads attendees can't avoid: Las Olas Blvd east to the beach, A1A along the oceanfront past the Las Olas Marina and Hall of Fame Marina entrances, down Seabreeze Blvd past Bahia Mar, then west on SE 17th Street past Pier Sixty-Six, Superyacht Village, and the Broward County Convention Center — and back around. The truck drove this loop continuously, roughly ten hours a day, every day of the show.
Simplified route diagram. The loop was adjusted in real time around show-day road closures and police traffic control.
04The Numbers: Estimated Impressions & Delivery
Here's where the editorial hat comes off and the OOH report hat goes on. Five show days, approximately ten hours per day on route, equals roughly 50 hours of live exposure in the densest luxury-marine audience on the planet.

How we estimate impressions
We don't pull numbers out of the salt air. Estimates follow standard out-of-home methodology: average daily traffic counts on the route corridors (A1A, Las Olas Blvd, SE 17th Street — some of Broward County's highest-volume roads on a normal day, and dramatically above baseline during show week), pedestrian density at venue entrances and shuttle stops, published FLIBS attendance expectations of 100,000+ visitors, and the truck's actual hours on route. Event-week congestion is a feature, not a bug: slower traffic means longer dwell time on the creative. A driver stuck on Seabreeze for twelve minutes doesn't glance at the board — he reads it, twice.
Frequency matters too. Because the route is a loop, the same attendee walking from Bahia Mar to a Las Olas lunch likely saw the YachtWay creative multiple times per day across five days — the kind of repetition that turns a brand name into a bookmark.
05Why Mobile LED Billboards Win at Boat Shows
Static placement around FLIBS is nearly impossible to buy well. Fixed inventory near the venues sells out months ahead, and most of it faces the wrong direction half the time. A mobile LED unit flips that math:
- You go where the crowd is, hour by hour. Morning at the Convention Center garages, midday on A1A, evening on Las Olas when the show lets out and the dinner crowd takes over.
- 100% share of voice. No competing panels, no rotation. The screen is YachtWay's and only YachtWay's for 50 straight hours.
- Congestion becomes dwell time. Boat show traffic is famously brutal. Every red light and shuttle queue is an unskippable ad break.
- Built for Florida. Our displays and builds are QC-tested against brutal heat before they ever hit the road — five 10-hour days in the South Florida sun is exactly what they're engineered for.
- Direct operator, no middleman. You call us, our truck rolls. Route changes happen with a phone call, not a change order.
For a digital-first client like YachtWay, the pairing is natural: the marketplace lives online, but the buyers were physically in Fort Lauderdale for five days. Street-level OOH closed that gap — and gave every attendee a name to type into their phone on the water taxi.
